Steps to install Ubuntu along with Windows

We all want to use the Ubuntu because of its awesomeness and its support for all the dev environment and strong tool like terminal.

I spent most of the time on Ubuntu, but some time I switch to windows to play games, ineratc with some hardware since their drivers are only supported on Windows. So I prefer to have both windows and Ubuntu on my system togeather. Hope you too

So here are simple steps to do this:

I assume that you already have Ubuntu in booth disk or udb driver. If not get it download from here. You will get a ISO file, mount it on CD or on usb using tools like linux live or power ISO.

1. Create a empty drive in you system, min 10GB of space
2. Go to control panel, Administrative tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management
3. Right click on you empty drive listed there, select delete volume(It should show it in green color)
4. So you have create a free space on you drive, where our ubunutu is going to get installed

5. Now plug in the usb with bootable ubuntu or CD ROM
6. Restart the system and adjust the first boot to required device(usb or cd)
7. Select "install Ubuntu"
8. Skip wifi selection options
9. Most importance "Install Ubuntu alongside of Windows 7", selecting other may damage your data and erase whole content. So select the quoted option carefully
10. Then remaining steps just meant to select your GMT and set the username and password
11. Ubuntu will be installed in 10 mins
12. Enjoy your Ubuntu, simple isn't it
